Charging your phone? You could be hacked...

Last week, I was not only able to talk to my mentor about finishing the process and starting to do Mentor visits and what not, but I was also able to watch a very interesting video and learn a lot about a physical way people can get hacked. I came across a video online that was talking about how you can literally plug your phone into an outlet, and in that outlet is malware. And many people might not even notice it, that could be like a charging outlet and an airport or just a wall charger in a public area. I had no idea that someone could physically hurt someone by stealing their information in a place that is so public and not on the network. While watching this video, it was very interesting to make different scenarios where this could play in real life. Could there be a way that they could even make it look like your phone is charging when you plug it in, it feels like there could be a power bank and something like this, but it couldn't be very big. Though, many people don't sit in charge at a place for more than 15 minutes, so this could be something very valuable. But how could someone get this out of a wall without other people seeing them? I would love to look more into physical ways people can get hacked without knowing it, and that is what I'll be researching soon enough.
