Last week during Thanksgiving break, besides going on the fabulous trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, I was able to dig in something very similar to the research that I have composing and the work and project that I am going to pursue in the second semester. What I was able to look into was a faraday cage, and what this is is there are many different forms. But it practically eliminates all the wavelengths going into this cage. Well looking at this, I was able to find some various phone kind of sleeves that kind of block off cell signal coming in and out of them, similar to what I want to do but they look horrible and I couldn't really see them being much more functional than that. What I want to do is maybe add charging and make it a lot more slick looking for people, as well as keep your phone safe and secure. So well being able to him besides the mechanics of what I'm wanting to create, it helped me very much learn and see what I need to do scientifically to create what I want to do. one cool thing, relating back to my trip to Cabo, was while in the hotel that I stayed at, as well as the city of Cabo, I actually was able to see In real-time what evil twin wifi’s look like. In Cabo, crime rates are very very high, and while exploring the city and even at my hotel, I saw a vast amount of Wi-Fi signals that look similar to the main one that I was wanting to connect to. Luckily there was a clear indication that they were different, it was very cool to see different signals with different names yet they're so similar, they could have been Wi-Fi steal information. Especially since these were all public, where the staff and the owner's wifi would be private, it helped me diversify the wife ice and their signals. Because an evil twin attacked or wouldn't use a private Wi-Fi to get someone's information, it is very cool to see public Wi-Fi with similar names yet they aren't the real one.
